This lady, Jayne Ozanne wants the benefits of having her cake and eating it, too. I know that you laid down rules and the rules are the rules. Jayne does not like your ways, so she’s taking it out on the churches in Europe.
She is calling churches ‘rapists and Holocaust deniers’ because she does not appreciate that The Church of England wants to follow your laws.
So, God: How do YOU deal with people who deplore your ways so much that they want to make up new laws for you, enforcing it on the church? This is what Jayne Ozanne is trying to do. She is suggesting that Christians who do not celebrate gay sex should be prosecuted for hate speech and notions of religious liberty should not allow churches to teach that sodomy is sinful.
I don’t get it, God. You made the rules but she wants to prosecute people who follow your laws. She gets to walk around and defy your decrees but people who want to follow you correctly should be punished?
I’m confused in today’s world, Lord. In the New Testament, Christian teachings, it is written:
1 Corinthians 6:9 ‘ Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men[a] 10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.
So, drunkards, thieves, adulterers, cheaters, etc are allowed to be castigated for their sin but sexually immoral and even those who have sex with the same sex get a ‘pass?’
You see my issue, Lord? My issue with LGBT people is they want you to put a stamp on their behavior saying, “OK”. What makes them so much better than your rules? Why are they ABOVE your laws?
Father God: I don’t go out of my way to bother homosexual people. But, they are going out of their way to bother people like me who believe in you. And, then they ask us to be ‘forgiven’ for following your laws.
All I can ask you to do is help this pathetic person, Lord.
Your humble Mad Jewess.
British evangelical Anglican, Ozanne works with religious organisations around the world in an effort to persuade them to update their moral teachings to accommodate LGBT sexual lifestyles.
Unlike the soldiers who crucified Jesus, church leaders know they are “wounding and hurting” LGBT people by propagating biblical sexual morality, Ozanne writes, and thus Jesus’ prayer — “Father forgive them, for they know not what they do” — does not apply to them.
